Interview with Australia Radio
I had been interviewed with Australia Radio about Stockholm Challenge Award that KhmerOS selected as one of the two best development project that uses Information Technology to improve economic.
KhmerOS is based in two simple principles : there is no economic development in countries that do not use technology; and, there is no widespread use of technology if the technology is not available in the language of the country.

អាចនិយាយថា បើមិនមានខ្មែរអូអេស ម៉្លេះសមមិនមាន ការវាយអក្សរខ្មែរ ងាយស្រួល រហ័សទាន់ចិត្ត ដូចបច្ចុប្បន្ន លើប្លក ឬ លើវ៉ែបសៃថ៍ នោះទេ។
សរសើរផងដែរ បេ ត្រា ដែលបាននិងកំពុង រួមចំណែកផ្សព្វផ្សាយ បំរើប្រាស់ក្រមអក្សរខ្មែរ យូនីកូដ-នីដា នៅគ្រប់ខេត្តក្រុង នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។
សូមបញ្ជាក់ថា តាមរយះការតំលើង ក្រមអក្សរខ្មែរ យូនីកូដ-នីដា, ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរ គ្រប់ទិសទី ទាំងក្នុងប្រទេស ទាំងនៅឯនាយសមុទ្រ បានប្រើប្រាស់អក្សរខ្មែរ ជាប្រចាំក្នុងខំព្យូរើរបស់ខ្លួន ជាពិសេស លើប្លក និង លើវ៉ែបសៃថ៍។
អក្សរខ្មែរ លើអិនរើណែត លែងជាការស្មុគ្រស្មាញទៀតហើយ បើកូនខ្មែរទាំងអស់ រួមគ្នាប្រើប្រាស់ និង អភិវឌ្ឍវា!!!

Right, from the linkhttp://open.org.kh/en/khmeros_finalist_en, i learn that KhmerOS create word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail in Khmer only. They never create Unicode font. They steal Ommoney’s font or some one.

What you said KhmerOS steal ommoney’s unicode font, seem that you don’t understand about Khmer Unicode.
Ommoney was a first person who had introduced Khmer Script to Unicode organization to assigned code for Khmer Script, that we call Khmer Unicode.
So, no countries will use this assign code for their script, only Khmer do.
After we have Khmer Script in Unicode, many organizations had taken it to develop. KhmerOS project was one of them, that take this Khmer Unicode to develop in to Keyboard layout, Khmer Unicode font and then localize several open source softwares into Khmer Language and also operating system such openSUSE and its application.
Daun Penh was one of unicode font create by Ommoney.
And KhmerOS has created several Khmer unicode font such as:

It’s wrong information. Mr Maurice and Michel Everson had had introduced Khmer Script to Unicode Organization.
