Tuon Samân, a computer teacher in an ASPECA orphanage in Sihanoukville province showed his talent as the fastest typist in Khmer language by winning the First National Contest on Khmer Unicode Typing and Office Document Development using Khmer language software, and taking the $500 of the first prize.
Second prize in the National Contest was awarded to Eng Titya, a 12 year old student from Battambang province. Third to fifth prizes were given to Chea Chansophea, a student from RUPP Phnom Penh, Nuon Chandarong, a Kompong Cham student, Kruy Vanna, from RUPP Phnom Penh. Over $10,000 were awarded in total, counting provincial and National contests.
